YouTube is expanding the display of clickable links on creators’ channel profiles, allowing up to 14 prominent links to be included near the ‘Subscribe’ button. This feature aims to create awareness of the creator’s other platforms, such as websites, social profiles, and merch sites, all while complying with YouTube’s Community Guidelines. The new link listing display will be visible on both desktop and mobile devices starting from August 23.
With this update, YouTube provides a convenient and cost-effective way for brands to promote their online presence. By utilizing these clickable links, content creators can inform their subscribers about alternative ways to follow their brand and establish stronger relationships with potential customers. Additionally, YouTube allows customization of the titles of external links, making it easier for viewers to identify the relevant platforms.
YouTube has expressed its commitment to supporting creators in including important links in their content while ensuring safety. They are actively working on developing safer methods for creators to include such links, recognizing the significance of links in sharing information and recommending products or brands to their communities.
